porn, kitsch, and firearms - skold n kmfdm been on a kmfdm binge as of late blame my friend you know who you are. but anywayyy this entire album is so good but this song is a major standout for me. it's hard-hitting, especially with the lyrical content, and it hits even harder with the instrumentals. idk it emmulates a very bleak reality to me. hypogirl - swans jarboe is a weirdo. and her vocal performance on this album is different than most of her songs in the swans discography. it makes me really happy that she got to express a different side of herself since I adore her screaming and her 'weird' vocal delivery on this song. her vocal range is insane and just overall amazing. favorite vocalist ever xavier - dead can dance one of my favorite albums for the fall. and maybe I'll talk about this album next month. brendan perry's vocals on this song are gorgeous, alongside the cinematic instrumentals which is very difficult to pull off without being cheezy. plus I'm a sucker for the harpicord. hospital waste- skinny puppy yet another skinny puppy song heyy. finally got around to this album and. yeah this song rocks. I especially love the bass on this song, and of course ogre's growling vocals. tbh I can't gush enough about skinny puppy. just listen to vivisectvi. torture- kmfdm guess who worked on this album??? nivek ogre himself!! that aside this is my favorite song on symbols and it's not JUST because of skinny puppy. though nivek ogre's writing and production is a massive standout and very recognizable. you kind of know it anywhere, yanno?
